Keeping Track of When You Had Your Oil Changed
Changing your oil frequently is important to your vehicle's maintenance and performance. It is recommended that you have your oil changed every 3 months or 3,000 miles, whichever comes first. In order to keep track of when you changed your oil last, you should keep a written record.
If you have your oil changed at our shop, a sticker will be placed on the upper left hand corner of your windshield which will remind you of the next date or mileage that you should have your oil changed.
You can also keep track with a spiral notebook in your car. You can list all of the scheduled maintenance that you have had done to your car, including oil changes. You should enter the date of the service and what was performed. This record is also important should you have to file a warranty claim for your car.
By having a record of your scheduled maintenance, you can tell exactly when the last time your oil was changed, so that you can keep your car in great condition. Of course, if you have all of your service performed at our shop, we’ll keep all the detailed records for you so you don’t have to.
